Today, July 7, 2017, we announce the opening of 100BANCH - a three-way collaboration between Panasonic Inc., Loftwork Inc., and Cafe Company Inc. with the goal of "Creating an experimental work space to improve the coming 100 years".

The year 2018 will mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of Panasonic, and now they will look to create new ideas for the next 100 years. 100BANCH - a play on the Japanese that means 'sector 100' - is a collaborative space for the younger generation that we need to generate those new ideas. Besides being a coworking space for young entrepreneurs in Tokyo, we will also provide a collection of mentors from the previous generation.

The 1st floor "KITCHEN" will be a cafe operated by Cafe Company and will open later this fall. The 2nd floor "GARAGE" is an event and exhibition space that will showcase the new products and ideas coming out of 100BANCH. The 3rd floor "LOFT" is the coworking space that will be the home of the young companies that will create our new future.

From April 12 - May 12, 100BANCH opened applications for project teams to be housed here and mentored. From 68 applicants, our mentors chose the top 13 to be the opening teams.

The building itself is an old warehouse located on the south side of Shibuya station. Scheduled to be torn down in a few years, we worked with the city of Tokyo, the Shibuya ward office, and Tokyu Corporation to spare the building and take advantage of existing infrastructure.

1F KITCHEN
Cafe Company's first cafe, SUS Shibuya Underpass Society opened directly across from the location of 100BANCH. Torn down due to development of the southern side of Shibuya, now we have the chance to come back to our roots, while still looking towards the future. *This cafe will open Autumn 2017.
