On July 20, 2017, Peoples inc. (a subsidiary of Cafe Company that is now in charge of all WIRED CAFEs) will open a new concept store within the WIRED brand - WIRED CHAYA. Taken from 'chaya 茶屋', the Japanese word for a traditional Japanese tea house, this new WIRED will feature modern Japanese cuisine.

The original WIRED brand took inspiration from all over the world in terms of cuisine, art, music, atmosphere, and lifestyle and created a cafe and family restaurant and hotel brand that has enjoyed much success in Japan and other parts of Asia. Now for WIRED CHAYA, we have come full circle to focus more on Japanese food, drink, and sweets, but sprinkled with international flavors.

ABOUT MENU

The focus is on the basic building block of Japanese gastronomy - rice. Items that have been enjoyed in Japan for generations like domburi rice bowls or maki sushi feature prominently, but have been updated with some new flavors and colorful arrangements. Other dishes include Spanish inspired olla rice stew and Southeast Asian inspired rice noodles.

The sweets menu feature traditional wagashi Japanese sweets like rice dangos covered with sweet bean paste, and Japanese style French toast or parfaits.

The drink menu features many fermented options. Amazake is a sweet, fermented rice drink (non-alcoholic) that has long been enjoyed for its health and nutritional benefits. We put our own WIRED twist on this by creating original amazake smoothies. And being a chaya, we feature a deep matcha and tea menu.
