WIRED HOTEL Asakusa and WorldwideFM internet radio collaborate very other Monday for a special DJ set, broadcast live from our first floor bar, Zakbaran.

A key figure in the genesis of the Japanese club culture and a DJ that continues to lead the Japanese music scene, Toshio Matsuura will provide hand-selected music and event information for listeners during the bi-weekly program. Worldwide FM is an internet radio program founded by one of the world's most famous radio and club DJs, Giles Peterson. We will also be live streaming the event on Worldwide FM's online channel and Facebook.

About DJ

Toshio Matsuura
Founding member United Future Organization (U.F.O.), formed in 1990. The collective established the beginning of Japanese club culture, and released 5 full albums in 32 countries which gained high reputation in 12 years. After leaving U.F.O., he has continued to play at clubs and festivals internationally and currently produces events and supervises music for notable fashion brands. In 2013, he gathered talented and forward-thinking artists based in Tokyo to produce a project called "HEX," which presents Tokyo's progressive form of Jazz to the world. The debut album "HEX" was released from Blue Note Records worldwide. His radio program "TOKYO MOON" is on air Wednesdays 23:00-24:00 (JPN Time) on InterFM. He plays his WorldwideFM set live every other Monday from Zakbaran, on the first floor of WIRED HOTEL Asakusa.

Jun Inoue
A live paint artist who has gained international recognition for his works abroad, Jun has collaborated with Nike on a piece in their main office and more. While listening to Toshio Matsuura's hand-selected music, Jun will be creating an original live piece for the night. Up until now we have featured guest DJ's, but this event will bring together two beautiful forms of art and create something completely new!
